About

I like history. I also think it’s a shame it’s typically taught in a rather disjointed and episodic fashion. Most of the wars and such that are typically taught as History are just the side effect of different groups of people moving around and bumping into one another. We fight, trade, learn from each other, infect each other with horrible diseases, annihilate or absorb each other, in various sequences.

This is, first and foremost, my notebook for capturing interesting things as I read, and for recording the connections I make. I am NOT a professional historian. If you find an inaccuracy, kindly correct me, with some sources for me to go read up on further to clarify things if possible.

I also blog at The Borg Queen about the high-tech industry.
